Dove Of Hope Christmas Card

In the year of the great pandemic, let us reflect of the recoveries we strive for by creating this card for your Holiday mail list.

***For the purpose of this instruction I am providing instruction for the 1st card on the left in the Photo.

*1 piece of Highland Heather card stock cut 8-1/2 x 5-1/2–scored and burnished at 4-1/4 in— this is your card base.
2 pieces of Highland Heather that measure 5-1/4 x at least 1 in.

*1 piece of DSP that has a heavy Highland Heather color background—measuring 5-1/4 x 2-1/2 in

*2 pieces of Whisper White card stock that measure 4 x 5-1/4 in.
Run one of them through the Emboss machine using the Delicate Diamond embossing folder. This one is for your front layer, the other will be for the inside sentiment.
Have 1 more piece of scrap Whisper White and punch out 1 piece with the Everyday Label punch.

*you will also need 2 x11 in strips of Whisper White card stock. Cut out the body of the Dove, 2 solid wings, 2 cut out wings and a cut out tail.

*Stamp the Greeting “Peace On Earth” on the punched out Whisper White piece using Tuxedo Black.

*Stamp the inside layer of Whisper White with your sentiment. Use Tuxedo Black as well. You can then adhere that layer to the inside using the adhesive of your choice.

*take the cut out wings and apply a thin application of liquid glue to the back—adhere to the solid wing. Do the same for the 2nd wing. Now do the same with the tail on to the Dove.

*Gently adhere your Highland Heather strips to the edges of the DSP to give a 1/8 in edge. Take this piece and adhere to the center of the embossed Whisper White piece. Adhere the entire layer to the base card.

*Glue 1 wing in an upward fashion to the top layer, slightly left of the center.

*Apply dimensionals to the Dove body and adhere to the wing.

*Gently glue the final wing in an upward or downward fashion. You can play with the position before you finalize the gluing.

*Using dimensionals, adhere the greeting to the bottom center of the card.

*Add 1 rhinestone gem to the doves eye and a couple on the card itself wherever you would like.
