Flowering Cactus Heart Card
The Flowering Cactus Stamp Set with coordinating dies is a Product Medley in the new 2021 Jan-June Mini Catalog. The paper is so very whimsical— perfect for my desert life! Enjoy!
Gather your Supplies:
*1 piece of Whisper White Card stock measuring 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 scored at 4-1/4 in
*3 in scrap of Whisper White and 1-3 in x 1/2 in of Whisper White card stock for the stamped heart cactus and front sentiment.
*1 piece of Highland Heather card stock cut at 4 x 5-1/4 in. Another piece of Highland Heather cut 1 x 5-1/4 in. Have another 3-1/2 in square piece of Highland Heather cup piece for your scalloped border.
*1 piece of Flowering Cactus DSP cut at 3-3/4 in x 5 in. Another piece of DSP cut 3/4 x 5-1/4 in.
*Make a small bow with the crumb cake thread that comes in the Product Medley kit.
Let’s Stamp!
*On your 3 x3 in Whisper White card stock, stamp the large Heart cactus using Pear Pizzaz ink.
*On the small Whisper White Scrap stamp the sentiment “Happy Looks Good On You” from the Flowering Cactus Stamp Set.
*On the inside of the card base, stamp the inside greeting, “Hope Your Birthday Is Filled With Beautiful Things”
You can also stamp the small cactus to the lower left hand corner under your sentiment.
Assemble your card:
*Layer your DSP on the Highland Heather—secure with Multipurpose glue.
*Using the Cut and Emboss with the 2-7/8 straight circle die, align the center and cut out the circle.
*With a 3-1/2 in square piece of Highland Heather cut out a scalloped circle with the 3-1/4 in die. Then take the same straight edge circle die center to the scalloped circle and cut out your scalloped border. Secure the border to the open cut circle as shown in the picture.
*Take your stamped sentiment for the front, punch out using the Classic Label punch. Take a contrasting piece of DSP and punch another piece with the Classic Label Punch. Using multipurpose glue, secure in an offset fashion. Use Dimensionals to secure to the front of the card in the middle.
*Take the 2 strips—layer the DSP to the Highland Heather piece and secure to the inside left of the card base. Use the adhesive of your choice.
*Finally add one of the felt flower cut outs to your Heart cactus on the front as well as place your bow under the felt flower.
