Holiday Sampler

Here is a 9 x 9 Holiday Sampler that will make a perfect Decor for your home or a very special gift for someone. This can be adjusted for any size frame and using the Stampin' Up Grid paper, you can design your sampler in any way you wish. You can design this piece in any way to suit the occasion. I hope you have fun creating this piece!!

1. Map out your design for your sampler on the grid paper. The square boxes measure 2-1/2 x 2-1/2; the tall boxes measure 2-1/2 x 5-1/4.

2. Whisper white layering pieces-2- measure 2-1/4 x 5 for the tall boxes.

3. Using Garden Green or Cherry Cobbler, cut your base squares at 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 and the tall at 2-1/2 x 5-1/4.

4--Using the Starburst punch--punch out 1 circle in Whisper white.

We will go through each section of the sampler and how to cut-stamp-assemble.

Row 1--Box 1

Cherry Cobbler cut 2-1/2 x 2-1/2
1st layer-Farmhouse Christmas DSP cut 2-1/4 x 2-1/4
Cherry Cobbler 2 in circle punch
Stamp "Merry & Bright" from Christmas Traditions and use punch to cut out---layer onto 2 in circle with dimensionals
Cut a mixture of Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler leaves with the Leaf Punch and arrange under the sentiment piece. Add 1-2 Sprigs cut with Red Glimmer paper and Sprig punch. Layer all pieces to Cherry Cobbler 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 piece
Add a clear rhinestone gem to top of sentiment piece

Row 1-Box 2

Stamp 2 step wreath using Old Olive first then Garden Green using the detailed wreath stamp from Painted Harvest Stamp Set.

Using Stampin' Blends--Cherry Cobbler Bundle color the berries in clusters of 3---add red rhinestones to accent the wreath.

Add red glitter ribbon bow to bottom of wreath

Layer the stamped piece to the Cherry Cobbler 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 piece using dimensionals

Row 1--Box 3

Run the 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece through the Big Shot using the Gently Falling Embossing folder

Stamp the tall tree from Lovely As A Tree stamp set using Garden green on a separate piece of Whisper White CS.

Fussy cut the tree---and attach to embossed white layer.

Using the Star Of Light die set and red glimmer paper, cut out a star with the die cut and attach to top of tree using dimensional.

Stamp sentiment from Star of Light set in Cherry Cobbler and adhere as layer to Whisper White CS and layer to Red Glimmer paper. Adhere to bottom of tree using dimensionals.

Row 2-Box 1

Run a 2-1/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White CS through the big shot using embossing folder, Swirls and Curls.

Stamp standing Deer from Dashing Deer Stamp set using Crumb Cake Ink (you can use Soft Suede) Cut out with Die cut using Big Shot.

Stamp a small flower using Cherry Cobbler on Whisper white and cut out with die from Dashing Deer. Attach to the deer's neck. Add a Red Rhinestone gem to the deer's nose.

Stamp Sentiment from Dashing Deer in Garden Green---layer on top of Red Glimmer paper using liquid glue and add to bottom of Deer image using dimensionals

Row 2-Box 2

Layer plaid 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 Farmhouse Christmas DSP to 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 Cherry Cobbler

Stamp Merry Christmas Sentiment in Cherry Cobbler---and top / bottom semi Circle in Garden Green ( I cut the stamp in 3 separate pieces so I could use different color inks)

Punch out multiple Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green leaves using the Leaf Punch as well as a couple of Sprigs with Sprig punch and Red Glimmer paper. Arrange as you wish around the circular sentiment. Layer on the DSP using dimensionals.

Row 3-Box 2

Stamp the house image on Whisper White from Farmhouse Christmas Stamp set.
Color the house with Crumb Cake Blends, Color roof with Old Olive with the shutters being Cherry Cobbler. You can use Real Red if you like.
Add Red Rhinestone Gems to the roof edge to mimic Christmas lights.

Row 3-Box 3

Stamp the truck image, the tiny wreath image from Farmhouse Christmas.
Stamp the Sentiment in Garden Green on Whisper White---Layer the sentiment on Red Glimmer paper using liquid glue---set aside.
Color the truck and wreath image. using Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive Blends.
Stamp the tree trunk image that is with Winter Woods Stamp set.
Border on the lateral sides of the tree trunk image with Cherry Cobbler strips---adhere to the DSP 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 using dimensionals.
Fussy cut the tiny wreath and adhere to the front of the truck. Attach the truck to the top layer using dimensionals.

Using your grid sheet as your guide, arrange all the boxes within your 9 x 9 in base. Add dimensionals to all the bottoms of the boxes and place gently on your base. Ensure that you are happy with the placement before you permanently attach to the base.

Secure to the Base of your Shadow Box Frame and attach to the frame.

Hurray! You have completed this project! You can use any size frame---just adjust the box sizes accordingly. Using the Grid paper is a great way to measure and size your boxes. This is a great gift to anyone or a wonderful work of art for your own home.
