DUTCH DOOR Fun Fold Card

Dutch door fun fold

Thanks to "Dawn's Stampin' Thoughts" for the inspiration in making this card! Fun Folds are always a surprise for the recipient. There are many different styles and designs---and most are very simple. Try this style out for size!!

Gather Your Supplies:

* Card Base--Melon Mambo--cut 7-1/8 x 8 in
On the 8 in side--score at 2 in and 6 in
On the 7-1/8 in side--score at 2-3/8 in turn around to the other side and score 2-3/8 in down to that 1st score line---skip the middle and at the next score line below, score the rest of the piece.
With the 8 in side facing you---cut the 1st and 2nd square on the TOP & BOTTOM row.
Fold the middle flap on the score line to the right and the 2 vertical "doors" in ---this will create the Dutch Door effect.
You will also need 1 piece of Melon Mambo cut at 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 in for the Cover base.

* 1 piece of Whisper White Card stock 3-5/8 x 4-3/8 in
* 1 piece Whisper White Card stock at 2-5/8 x 2-5/8 in for the stamped cover image on front.

* Cut a piece of Basic Black card stock to 3-3/4 x 4-1/2---this will layer below your larger Whisper White piece and be for the inside layer.

*For the left side flap--cut a piece of Basic Black card stock at 2-1/8 x 3-3/4 in

*For the 2 Dutch Door flaps you will need 2 pieces of Basic Black cut at 1-3/4 x 2-1/8 in

*For the Top layers over the Black card stock--you will need your Melon Mambo from the Stackable Brights DSP---as follows:
2 pieces of DSP 1-5/8 x 2 in
1 piece DSP 2 x 3-5/8 in

Lets Stamp!

*Stamp your sentiment on the larger Whisper White Layer---secure to the black layer and then to the inside card base.

*On the front Whisper White layer---stamp the sentiment on the bottom right corner with Tuxedo Black. Stamp your leaf element with Garden green to the left side of the White Card stock. Punch out 2 medium daisies.

*Using a stampin' sponge 1/4 piece---gently brush the edges of your daisies with Daffodil Delight Ink.---- Align the 2 daisy pieces so that the top is between the edges of the bottom daisy. Secure with a dimensional on top of the stamped leaf. Add the flower center.

*Secure the DSP layers to the Black Card stock layers then to the Base.

*Use your last square Melon Mambo piece---and secure only the left side to the center of the larger door of the card---turn the square so the corner point is facing on top--should look like a diamond.

Secure your inside layer---the larger Whisper White card stock over the black---with your favorite adhesive---secure to the center of the inside.

NOTE: I used Melon Mambo with the Basic Black and Whisper White Cardstock---along with the Brights Melon Mambo Card stack paper.
You are free to use whatever colors and / or stamp sets you would like! It's a fun card to make and pretty easy! You can even add more embellishments if you like! Enjoy!
