STAMPIN' UP DASHING DEER CARD

Dashing deer card

Here is a very whimsical Christmas Card---easily made with the Dashing Deer Stamp Set along with its' pairing of the Detailed Deer Thinlits. Also in the mix is the Christmas Traditions Punch Set. This card matches my YouTube video on November 13th.

Gather your supplies and cut to size:

*Cherry Cobbler 8-1/2 x 11 cut at 5-1/2 on the long side; score at 4-1/4 --- fold and set aside.

*1 piece of Whisper White Cardstock 4 x 5-1/4 for inside layer and 1 piece 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 in
Another piece 2 in x 2 in for the front sentiment.

*2 pieces of the green All Is Bright DSP cut at 4 x 5-1/4 in

*1 piece of Real Red Mixed Satin Ribbon cut at 5-5-1/2 in

*

*Stamp the front sentiment with one of the Christmas Tradition stamp and use the punch to cut out the design. Also use a 2 x 2 in piece of the All Is Bright (green) piece of DSP and punch out an additional piece.

*Stamp the inside sentiment on the 4 x 5-1/4 in of Whisper White.

*Die cut the Leaping Deer design on your Whisper White 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 in piece as well as the 3 flowers from a scrap piece of the green DSP.

*Die cut a scallop oval using the Sizzex large size scallop oval die---center the die in the middle of the green DSP.

*Die cute the filigree piece in Cherry Cobbler

*Die cut 3 small flowers using scraps of the green DSP

Time to Assemble the card:

*Layer the inside Whisper White Layer to the 4 x 5-1/4 piece of green DSP---adhere to the inside card base---using snail or liquid adhesive.

*Using liquid glue gently apply glue to the cherry cobbler filigree and adhere to the upper right hand corner of the inside Whisper White sentiment piece.

*Apply Dimensionals to your oval cut DSP and gently adhere to the cover of the cherry cobbler card stock.

*Center your Leaping deer cutout---adhere with mini dimensionals and add a bit of glue to the antlers so they are anchored to the card.

*fold the ribbon in half and adhere with glue dots to the right lower corner of the cover piece---Attach the punched out sentiment on top.

*Put a flower to the deers neck--and randomly apply the flowers to other parts of the card using liquid glue or a dimensional.

*Apply clear rhinestones to the centers of the flowers---one on the cover sentiment and 1 to the center of the flower on the cherry cobbler filigree on the inside.
